Central Florida's sandy soil and afternoon downpours are what wreck a cheap patio. We compact and build the base so the slab doesn't settle, add wire mesh or fiber reinforcement, and cut the control joints where the concrete wants to move — so it cracks on the line instead of across your patio.
Then we slope it just enough that water runs off toward the yard, not back toward the house or into a puddle in the middle. Sealed, it shrugs off sun, rain and pool splash for years.

Stamped or broom finish — which should I get?
Broom is the workhorse: simple, non-slip and easy on the budget. Stamped costs more but turns the patio into a feature with the look of stone or pavers. A lot of homeowners do a broom patio and a stamped border or entry to split the difference.
How thick is a patio slab?
Most residential patios are poured at 4″ on a compacted base with reinforcement. If you're setting a hot tub or heavy outdoor kitchen on it, we thicken and reinforce that area — we'll spec it when we come out.
Will it crack in the Florida heat?
All concrete moves. The trick is controlling where: proper base, reinforcement and control joints mean it cracks on the joint line, not across the slab. We can't promise zero hairlines, but we build it so they stay small and out of sight.
How soon can I use it?
Walk on it in a day or two, put furniture out in about a week, and it reaches full strength around 28 days. We'll tell you when it's ready for the grill.
